Park Rules

PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS AS WELL AS YOUR DOG’S BEHAVIOR AND INTERACTIONS.

Be respectful to other members and our shared space.

  • The park opens at dawn and closes at dusk. Security cameras are in use 24 hours/day.

  • Children under the age of 12 are not permitted inside the fenced areas of the park.

  • No smoking or vaping is permitted anywhere in the park.

  • Only dogs registered with CADPA may enter the fenced area. Visitor passes are available with advance registration. All dogs must have the following items current AND on file with CADPA:

    • Dog license as per PA Law or per residence state’s law,

    • Current vaccinations for rabies and Bordetella (kennel cough) and proof of spay/neuter

    • CADPA-issued key fob or mobile gate access

  • All humans (friends, family, dog walkers, etc) must have a signed liability waiver on file to enter the fenced areas.

  • There is a maximum of 3 dogs per registered adult allowed within the fenced areas.

  • Dogs weighing less than 30 pounds must use the Small Dog area, and dogs weighing more than 30 pounds must use the Large Dog area.

  • Members must be free of injuries or physical limitations that would prevent them from safely controlling or handling their dog while inside the fenced area.

  • Scoop poop and fill in any holes immediately. Poop bag dispensers are located throughout each pen along the fences. Trowels are stored by each entrance gate.

  • Please return any balls you use to the storage area by the gate before you leave the park.

  • Dogs under 4 months of age are not permitted in the park. All dogs 6 months and older must be spayed/neutered unless breeder or veterinarian requires waiting until dog is 12 months old (you must send written proof of this request to be accommodated). Females may not be in park while in heat.

  • Pull your dog away from the gate as new dogs enter to minimize the risk of reactivity.

  • Aggressive dogs are not allowed. Dogs showing aggressive behavior must be removed immediately, without debate. To ensure safe enjoyment of the park for everyone, the CADPA board follows a three-strike policy for reported incidents, with repeated violations resulting in progressive consequences up to suspension or termination of membership. The Board reserves the right to immediately suspend membership in the event of a severe incident or an egregious safety concern.   Normal play may include growling, wrestling, and barking. You know your dog, be ready to step in if it becomes questionable.

  • All dogs must be leashed (6 foot leash maximum) outside fenced areas and wear a buckled collar while inside the park. Prong collars are not permitted inside the fenced area. Leash(es) should be brought inside the play areas and accessible.

  • Pay attention to your dog and your surroundings.

  • Watch for running dogs to avoid collisions.

  • Food or treats (human or dog), personal toys, and glass containers are prohibited within fenced areas.

  • Use 911 for emergencies. The Carlisle Police non-emergency number is 717-423-4121. Any incident resulting in any human or dog injuries or requiring police intervention should also be reported promptly to the CADPA Board. The online incident report form can be found here.
