CADPA Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors is made up of park members and operates solely on a volunteer basis. We meet regularly throughout the year and welcome questions, suggestions, and input from all members!

Meghan Ramos

I love being part of this community! My focus is on keeping the park safe, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone by promoting shared responsibility and volunteering as well as helping to grow membership sustainably to ensure the park can continue to thrive.

In my professional life, I manage Athena Mobility & Strength in downtown Carlisle and develop individualized fitness and wellness programs for clients that have a history of more complex issues like injuries, chronic illness, etc. Outside of work you can probably find me doing yard/garden work, thrifting/antiquing, and traveling with my husband/Lulu’s dad Angel.

When Lulu and I are at the park she mostly spends her time fighting with me over whether she can eat mulch, running into benches/human knees/other dogs at full speed sprints,  teaching other dogs how to hump, and perfecting her Scary Snarl to maintain her position in the pecking order.

President, Mom to Lulu

For us, the park has become a space to decompress, add a little extra joy to our everyday lives, and fulfill my life's purpose to 'pet all the dogs'. We’re grateful for the community here!

Dax (10) was rescued while we were living in Rhode Island and thoroughly enjoyed being an “only child” for several years. Harleigh (now almost 4) was immediately enamored with him, and Dax figured she at least had that going for her. After previously rejecting and vetoing most of the other rescue puppies he’d met, Dax eventually decided she could stick around and officially allowed her to join the pack. Harleigh is such a sweet soul who believes every dog she meets could be her next best friend—and hopes yours will be too!

Outside of the park, I'm a clinical social worker working in mental health; enjoying gardening, reading spicy books on my Kindle, and am excited for camping season this summer!

Treasurer, Mom to Archie

Nicole Best

Hi! I’m Nicole, the treasurer of CADPA and Archie's mom. I grew up in Lancaster and moved to Carlisle at the end of 2023 to be closer to work. Soon after, I got my best furry friend, Archie! We enjoy walking all over Carlisle and playing ball. Seriously, ball is life if you ask Archie. Without Archie, I enjoy running, crafting, cooking/baking and doing puzzles.

For work, I’m a financial controller for a highway construction company in New Kingstown called Surface Preparation Technologies. We cut rumble strips all over the country to make roadways safer.

I’m really excited about the future of CADPA!

Membership Coordinator, Mom to Embo

Tessa Rhinehart

Hi everyone! I’m Tessa, Embo's mom, and your CADPA Membership Coordinator. If you’ve ever wondered who is hounding you about membership renewals and updated vaccines, it’s me! I also organize our new member orientations, and the volunteers who help make them happen (thanks guys!).

Outside of the park, I work in the Youth Services department of the Bosler Library, so if you have human children you can come see me at storytimes!

Embo has a lot of energy, so you can find us at the park all throughout the week! His favorite things to do are play fetch, get in the pool, and wrestle with his friends. And if you've ever wondered where a name like Embo comes from, he was lovingly named after a Star Wars bounty hunter, which I think says a lot about his personality.

Dax

It’s me, Dax, your local park ambassador, fellow bench sitter, and self-appointed Vice President (“Self-appointed” feels unnecessarily political, but apparently there are “rules” and “elections.”) I personally don't recognize any authority except whoever's giving out treats.

As part of my ongoing duties, I assist with social media content creation, complete daily perimeter inspections, test the soil weekly for anything that needs to be addressed below the surface, review your latest "pee-mail" correspondence, supervise multiple wrestling matches, and personally test the splash pool for safety approximately fourteen times in anticipation of summer activities.  I also oversee the solar powered fan area on hot days.

Finally, I advise my mom on newsletter contents to keep the park up to date on seasonal updates, community news, and suspicious groundhog and squirrel activity reports. I’m basically the only one who works around here.

Vice President, First Gentleman of the Secretary, Head of Committee on Hole Digging

Mom to Juju

Abby Maston

Hi, I’m Abby, a member-at-large at CADPA and mom of Juju. I love this park and making sure everyone and their pups feel safe and comfortable!

I work as an archaeologist for a local engineering company, and when I go on projects I usually take Juju with me and she gets to hang out in the hotel and make new friends! When I’m not working, you can find me gardening, making candles, watching tv shows or playing video games!

When Juju and I are at the park, she’s usually digging holes like a maniac, and then when I tell her to stop, she gets the zoomies and digs more holes. She also likes to sit on benches, be carried like a baby, and sing her beagle song when Bella the Beagle comes to the park. She loves to play with everyone, except if the playing gets too close to the swimming pool, because she hates The Water™️.
