Reminder - Park Rules & Etiquette

Our park works because our members look out for each other — and for each other's dogs. Here are a few etiquette basics worth keeping in mind on every visit.

Pull dogs away from the gate when a new dog is entering. Most scuffles happen right at the entrance, when dogs are excited and space is tight.

Clean up after your dog — every time. This one's non-negotiable. Poop bags dispensers are located throughout the park for your use. Don't assume someone else will grab it if you miss a spot.

Respect the toys supplied by CADPA and other members. If you throw a ball, make sure it gets put back on the shelf. If your dog is a heavy chewer or a toy destroyer, please consider replacing it so others can continue to enjoy the toys!

Fill in holes if your dog is a digger. No one wants an injury from rough ground. If your dog digs a hole, please use a provided trowel or shovel to fill it in before you leave.

Dump the pool after your dog uses it. If you use one of the wading pools, please empty it before you leave. Standing water attracts mosquitos, and dumping it out is a quick way to keep the park more pleasant for the next visitor.

Watch your dog, not your phone. Dogs can be unpredictable when running and playing. Staying engaged means you stay safe around running dogs and, if needed, step in if you think play may turn sour.

Know your dog's limits. Not every dog wants to be swarmed, and not every dog plays well in a big group. If your dog needs a break, step aside for a few minutes - either by taking a walk around the fence perimeter or using another pen if it’s available.

Report anything that needs reporting. If there's a bite, a real fight, or a safety hazard like a broken gate, submit an incident report through the Member Resources page as soon as you can.
